One of a series of brooches celebrating inspirational women through the ages.

 

This brooch features early photographer and botanist, Anna Atkins. You may notice that the word archive appears on her dress. This relates to the numerous Cyanotype prints Anna made during her life, which are now held at the Natural History Museum.

    A leather-backed brooch made with fragments of vintage and printed cotton. Free machine and hand stitched. Presented in a stitched paper envelope.

    Dimensions: approx 6.5cm tall.
